At Outside Lives, one of the things we are passionate about is conservation of our natural environment. Take a look at some of our Wild Tribe projects here - perhaps it will inspire you to get involved!
This is a multi faceted ongoing project to both protect and encourage both native plants, animals and insects within our rural site. This involves both plant and species surveys regularly on site and doing what we can to ensure both are able to thrive and develop through related volunteer led projects.
Our Pond Life project is an ongoing development on site that we are working on with the North Wales Wildlife Trust. This will involve us hopefully gaining a grant to be able to reinstate our original Victorian pond with the help of volunteers... making this into a haven for pond life and wildlife alike!
Our Hoglets Group are our young wildlife volunteers! A group of passionate, animal loving children who have a special love of our spiky Hedgehogs friends! Working alongside the Wirral Hedgehog Hospital, we explore ways to protect these wonderful creatures through habitat building, raising awareness and fundraising.
Our Bee Happy project was funded by the People's Postcode Lottery.
We wanted to create a space on site that we can re wild and ‘leave for nature’, grow wildflowers and house some bees. We've been sowing wildflower seeds and trying to boost the native flora found on site!
