Thanks to funding from the Bryn Gwalia Bowling Club Fund, we've made some great progress on site, installing our new office to house our expanding team as we work hard to grow good here at Outside Lives.

Made almost entirely from reclaimed materials, we've kept our impact on the environment to a minimum... it literally 'didn’t cost the earth', as everything was re-used and saved from landfill - just the way we like it!

We've been busy cladding our new (old) office container with donated materials and it's looking brilliant. Talk about coproduction... this office has input from everywhere - we hope that you like it!

We’d like to say a BIG thank you to the following:

  • Wade Foulkes for the rusty tin sheets which were destined for (and rescued from) landfill!
  • Dan Stephenson for the wood decking boards, which we have recycled into cladding
  • Milo Leys for doing a great job of clearing out the container and pulling up the old rotten floor
  • Chris Ablett and Kezia Lavender for the door
  • Andy Messam, Tim Powell and Jon Bowyer who've done a great job onsite creating this structure, adding everything from new windows, joinery and metal work… and everything in between!
  • Theatre Clwyd, Hawarden Institute and Mold Rugby Club for gifting us some fantastic old furniture and other very useful office items - we are so grateful!

There's plenty more to do before this is finished - including a fantastic ‘living roof’, that we plan to research with our Friends at Cae Rhug Holistic Farm, Gwernaffield. We also plan to add a veranda (aka the deck!) with beautiful views over Moel Fammau – we cannot wait for that!
