Get Involved Our Site Spaces And Places The Shelter No.1 on our site map Accommodates up to 8 people Our Shelter is a purpose-built structure made from repurposed, gifted, and natural materials. Developed with funding received from Comic Relief and FLVC, this is a multi-functional space that can be used for a variety of uses, from informal outdoor meetings and group sessions, to providing a familiar and enjoyable space for people living with dementia to use the space with their families as part of our sun downing project, by allowing individuals to enjoy the benefits of engaging with nature, particularly in the early evening, a time where sufferers often experience increased agitation and anxiety. The shelter itself is covered, but with open sides that enable users to remain immersed in nature and able to view the stunning scenery that surrounds our site. Seating is provided in the form of comfortable, recycled benches. Self-serve tea and coffee facilities are also provided in this space. This is the first place you'll visit when you come to site as this is where we will check you into any events and/or activities. Thanks to our funders!
