We're pleased to announce that Plastic Reduction Mold (Lleihau Plastig Yr Wyddgrug) have joined the #PlasticFreePledge helping to support the fight against single use plastics!

Why go plastic free?

There are lots of compelling reasons to try and reduce plastic use, here are just a few...
  • More than 9 Million tonnes of plastic is dumped into our oceans every year - that's a LOT of plastic!
  • There could be more plastic than fish (by weight) in our oceans, by the year 2050 (Ellen MacArthur Foundation, 2016)
  • Plastic can last approximately 600 years in our oceans!
  • In 2016, a third of fish surveyed on the South Coast (UK) contained plastic!

The Plastic Free Pledge mission!

To put an end to single-use plastic waste!

We as humans, have created an incredibly versatile and durable material, so why use it for products that are used only once? Maximise it's use and limit the impact of plastic waste and prevent it polluting our oceans.

Through campaigning, education and political lobbying, together we can create institutional change and put an end to this growing problem.

We can't solve this problem ourselves, it takes everyone to commit to making changes to reduce our plastic waste. You can join that fight by signing up to the plastic free pledge too via the link

Surfers Against Sewage  have some great community resources on their website...

Wherever you live, whether you’re on shore or inland, urban or rural, high-tide or high-rise, we’re uniting communities in the fight against single-use plastics. It’s not about removing all plastic from our lives. It’s about kicking our addiction to avoidable single-use plastic, and changing the system that produces it.

Outside Lives think this is a brilliant initiative and one we will definitely be supporting 👏 Well done to the Mold Plastic Reduction Team!
