Who We Are Meet Our Team Lucy Powell For me, Outside Lives has become a passion, it's a way of life. It embodies all the things I have strived to support, develop and protect. I love the simple things in life. I enjoy meeting new people and soaking up new characters. I'm passionate about animals and nature and forever looking at ways through which I can minimise my impact. I'm also hugely inspired by the reduce, reuse, recycle ethos - I am always looking at ways of throwing less away and ways of keeping rubbish out of landfill. Outside Lives is also centred around this - everything onsite has been made or gifted, we buy nothing new - we are big recyclers and firm believers that one man's junk is another's treasure! WHERE'S HOME? Home is and always has been in Gwernymynydd. Growing up in the North Wales countryside, my mum proudly informs people that my first real word was ‘outside’, so I like to think that's where it all started! I live with Jon and my two dogs, with my family just a stone's throw away. WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME? I'm a busy bee and love an outdoor project, at my happiest when getting stuck into something energetic or creative! I especially like this when I am teaming up with someone and get a buzz from working together! This keeps me pretty fit, along with walking our dogs! WHAT DO YOU GROW? I proudly following a plant-based diet I am constantly learning and trying new dishes to cook! I rarely measure anything, so meals are creative and generally taste different every time I make them! Growing my own food is my next challenge... my success so far has been limited but I will persevere! WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO? I love listening to Bowie, but more recently I have been grabbing a book to reward myself after a busy day - I love to learn and explore new topics, it keeps us full of new ideas! WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE SEASON? This is so tough! I enjoy and appreciate many things about each season! I love the changing colours that come about with all the seasons. the picture is always different, and nature really has something incredible to offer when you look.
