Produce to Plate

Throughout this year we have been able to develop a range of engaging and fun community initiatives thanks to funding received from the Soil Association, 'Food For Life'. The project also contributed to the installation of our new onsite polytunnel in our community garden, as well as garden equipment and other related developments on our site in respect of community growing! It has been a multi dimensional project and one we have been able to see some incredible results from!

You can view all of the recipes we collated across our 'Produce to Plate' project in our Digital Cookbook. NB. You may need to allow a little time for this to load.

The UK throws away around 9.5 million tonnes of food waste in a single year – even though 8.4 million people in the UK are in food poverty. Billions of pounds are wasted each year when food is disposed of unnecessarily. We feel passionate about preventing food waste and helping people to explore different ways of making recipes into new dishes, or simply making sure that nothing is wasted. Read more
