Singing In The Rain is a multi-faceted project, all about raising awareness of life with dementia, and the importance that the outdoors has on our physical and mental wellbeing - particularly to those living with dementia.

The project is told from the viewpoint of Friend of Outside Lives Teresa, who has been living with dementia since the age of 59, and chronicles her journey since diagnosis, along with her love for the outdoors and how this helps her manage her symptoms, and continue to lead a fulfilling life.

Materials in this project include:

🌱 The Hopeful Gardener - a series of emotive short films that tell the story of Outside Lives friend and volunteer Teresa Davies and her journey since diagnosis with early onset Alzheimer's (available via YouTube - Outside Lives Video)

🎧 The Hopeful Gardener podcast - a series of discussions with those seeking to make changes in how society views dementia (available via Spotify)

🎁 Bonus material from across the project

☔ Singing in the Rain presentation - a free interactive workshop that looks at how we can rebuild a relationship with the outdoors for ourselves and those we care for

We're delighted with what we have created here, and thanks must go to Anastacia Ackers for developing such emotive and thought provoking content, to Teresa Davies who is the star of this wonderful project and to Author, Anne Scott who has supported this project alongside letting us use resources from her wonderful book, 'Sizzling Bacon'.
